Category:Films directed by Kunal DesaiThere are various applications of which an image is formed on a recording medium, such as, a photosensitive material and an image display medium, using an image forming agent. For example, there are generally adopted a positive-positive method of forming an image on a positive type photosensitive material by supplying a positive type photosensitive material with a liquid image forming agent in which a positive type photosensitive material is dispersed, and a negative-positive method of forming an image on a negative type photosensitive material by supplying a negative type photosensitive material with a liquid image forming agent in which a negative type photosensitive material is dispersed.
When performing an image forming operation using an image forming agent in the positive-positive method, there is adopted a method of directly supplying a positive type photosensitive material with a solution containing an image forming agent, as described in, for example, JP-A-3-159949 and JP-A-3-159950.
When performing an image forming operation using an image forming agent in the negative-positive method, there is adopted a method of supplying a negative type photosensitive material with a solution containing an image forming agent, as described in, for example, JP-A-5-275364 and JP-A-6-324768.
In the image forming operation of the positive-positive method, a solution containing an image forming agent is supplied to a photosensitive material and a conventional positive-positive image forming method is used, so that there is a problem that a developing speed of the photosensitive material is extremely slow.
On the other hand, in the image forming operation of the negative-positive method, a solution containing an image forming agent is supplied to a photosensitive material and a conventional negative-positive image forming method is used, so that there is a problem that the developing speed is extremely fast.
It is hence an object of the present invention to provide an image forming agent capable of forming an image having a good developability and transferring property and without causing an undesirable pollution at a comparatively high speed, and a recording be359ba680
